10 Facts you NEED to know about the #CancelPercy allegations.
So, OBVIOUS trigger warning since this is a really sensitive topic, we’re talking about rape and sa allegations. Since the accusations against Percy came out, people have been calling for Percy to be jailed and even killed. Those reactions are somewhat understandable, as rape and SA are highly emotionally charged topics, and when you get highly emotional, logic and reason tend to fly out the window. There’s also the fact that people don’t want to ever risk not believing a victim. However, it’s been a few days and information has come out about both the accusations and the accusers. I think we really need to stop and just THINK logically about certain things.
Here are some important facts that I feel are being ignored by the Wednesday fandom:
1. None of the 3 main girls running the #CancelPercy hashtag (Aries, Kay, and Desiree) have actually accused Percy of raping them. This is important to remember because people are saying that these girls are speaking up against their rapist and saying “Percy is a rapist.” But that’s not what they accused him of. The 3 main girls running #cancelpercy hashtag have accused him of sexually harassment, groping, being mean to them, and of guilt-by-association for having been friends with an abuser.

One of the girls, Desiree, accuses Percy of “LETTING” her get raped. I’m really not sure how “letting” someone get raped is a legitimate charge against him, unless he was just standing right there when it happened. But onto the next point:
2. Aries actually contradicted herself on what she says Percy did to her. In LESS than 24 hours it had changed from “he groped/assaulted me” to “he said VIAL (vile) things to me” and it was just her FRIENDS he did physical stuff to.
3. TWO of the girls who accused Percy of defending and protecting an abuser, have been called out and ADMITTED to defending and protecting an abuser themselves. Desiree, the girl who accused Percy of siding with rapists, admitted after being called out that she had defended and protected an abuser. In fact, she didn’t just defend an abuser, she actively BULLIED his victims and made their lives hell. Kay also got called out and admitted to defending + protecting an abuser but excuses herself because she is a “victim.” THESE are the people who are currently claiming the moral high ground and claiming to advocate for victims. I find it hypocritical that these girls are excusing themselves because they were “manipulated” but they make Percy out to be then villain because he wanted to “hear it from both sides.” Also, guess who still follows a known rapist/abuser on Instagram? It’s NOT Percy but Kay the victim advocate herself.
4. Aries said that she NEVER sent anyone violent threats but was caught on Instagram doing exactly that.
5. Spreading around nude photos of someone online without their consent IS A CRIME. So there are these nude photos of Percy going viral which I am not going to post here because I think it’s fucking disgusting to spread what basically amounts to REVENGE PORN of someone. Sharing intimate images of someone without their consent is a serious CRIME in Canada and every other developed country in the world and it has serious legal repercussions including FINES and JAIL TIME. Now it’s said that he sent those photos to minors as an adult. We don’t really have proof of that other than someone SAYING it was sent to a gc full of minors. Percy’s age at the time has been contested, but no matter what age he was it is NOT ok to leak nudes of someone. You also have to question the motives of someone who BRAGS about spreading nudes of someone. And also using the R slur, because they are such good people!

6. This is all fun and games for them.
At this point it’s already been established that the main girls behind the #cancelpercy hashtag are guilty of bullying and silencing SA victims, of sending violent threats to people, of using the R slur in 2023, and of happily spreading around revenge porn. It is therefore not a stretch to think that they might take JOY in taking down another person, especially a person they may be jealous of. Those who defend Percy’s accusers claim that they have absolutely NOTHING to gain from making these accusations. I disagree. They are gaining clout and followers from this. Aries and Kay have also made it clear that this is all big FUN for them as they spread around his nudes and demand memes of him in jail. If I was a lawyer looking at how these girls are behaving on social media, it would NOT be looking good for them at all.
7. Aries said she couldn’t watch Wednesday because of Percy being in it. However she tweeted about watching the show when it first released, and her main complaint about the show had absolutely NOTHING to do with Percy.
8. MANY inconsistencies and flat-out falsehoods in the allegations have been pointed out in this Twitter thread.

9. Not every sexual misconduct allegation against a famous person turns out to be true.
This may sound cold and blunt but it’s literally a fact. Percy isn’t the first celeb to get accused of shit and he’s not going to be the last. Here’s a list of celebrities who have been falsely accused of being sex pests in recent years. Melanie Martinez should also be on this list. I remember a few years ago when everyone cancelled Melanie Martinez because of rape allegations made by her former friend, her fans made videos of themselves burning her merch, and then it turned out to be bullshit.

It’s really unfortunate, but we live in a world of clout chasing and cancel culture. That’s why it’s good sometimes to be skeptical towards allegations made online. I’m not saying you should automatically disbelieve people who accuse celebrities, but rather, take it with a grain of salt. Wait for more information to come out before you pull out your pitchforks. Use your brain.
10. The EVIDENCE against Percy is SKETCHY AS FUCK.
Like I’m sorry, but it is. In fact calling it “evidence” is being generous because the evidence is basically non-existent.
First of all most of the “proof” is literally just allegations made with text messages (which, I will point out, are easy to fake to begin with, there are tutorials all over tik tok and YouTube about how to create fake messages.)
For example they are claiming that Percy raped a 14-year-old girl which is obviously a SERIOUS goddamn crime and their so-called “PROOF” is these text messages that could have been written by literally ANYONE, saying “we fucked.” That’s it. That is not PROOF, that is a story told by an anonymous, faceless rando.
Percy’s silence is also NOT proof of guilt. Literally any good LAWYER would tell him to be quiet in a case like this, as anything you say could be used against you in the case. They also are most likely gathering the evidence and letting the girls keep talking so they can discredit themselves even more. Also, if Percy DID make a statement, the same people would also use THAT as evidence that he’s guilty as well, because they’d accuse him of trying to do damage control. I really believe Percy is in a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation.
People have also been really weird about their “proof” as well, like, claiming they’re too scared to share all the proof but also begging people to spread it around. Also, people have manipulated pictures to make it look like Percy has held this girl on his lap against her will. Just really weird, stupid stuff.
It’s also a reliable constant that Aries and Kay have soooo many allegations but never any evidence.

I’ve seen people use this as proof of a rape confession and I’m like… NO THE FUCK IT ISN’T??? First of all if this message is even real… You can’t even see the whole context of the conversation here but it sounds like it could be about cheating rather than rape. We already know Kay is untrustworthy because she continues to follow a rapist (Brycen) on Instagram and has a history of defending him. So I’m definitely not gonna take her word for it.

Also, receipts of Percy being problematic are NOT proof of him being a rapist.
You would think this was self-evident but apparently it’s not. Ok first of all, I DO NOT CARE if you want to hate this man because of a problematic tik tok from 3 years ago or whatever. That is YOUR prerogative. I’m not trying to make anyone like him. My focus is on the sex crime allegations. I just think it’s both unfair and immoral to label someone as a rapist and go in a witch hunt with no real evidence. I’ve seen people say that it doesn’t matter if the allegations against Percy are false bc they still hate him for being problematic. But it DOES matter?? Contrary to popular opinion on the internet, innocent until proven guilty DOES still matter and it’s the reason we don’t live in a tyranny, getting our hands chopped off for crimes we didn’t commit. I am not saying this because I’m a “simp” for Percy (as someone else has called me) nor do I want to have sex with him. I made this post because I care about the truth and I care about justice. I am also against online cancel mobs that care more about going on a witch hunt than looking at the actual facts.
